Leek with orange

Leek with orange

  • 1 pot

  • 5 leeks
  • 1 onion
  • 1 large carrot
  • 30 grams basmati rice
  • 1 orange
  • olive oil extra virgin
  • salt and pepper
  • parsley


  • First wash the leeks throughly. Cut them diagonal in 3 cm long pieces.
    Cut the carrot in slices and onion in small pieces.
  • Then in a pan put the onion with olive oil and sauce them until translucent. Add the carrot and stir for few minutes. Then add the leeks and stir again for few moments.
  • Add some hot water and orange juice and salt and pepper. And add the rinsed basmati rice. Reduce the heat and let it cook until vegetables and rice is cooked.
  • Let it rest for 30 minutes and serve with parsley.
